Rice Crispy turkeys:

My Mom made some cute rice crispy turkeys with Gwen and her cousins yesterday. after mixing everything together for the rice crispy treats she gave each kid a pile of the mixture for them to shape into a body, a bunch of carrot sticks to use for feathers, 2 M & M's for the eyes and a candy corn for the nose. It was a great free form thing for the 2 year olds to do because they could easily push the body parts into the rice crispy treat mixture.
If you don't have a rice crispy treat recipe here is one I found online. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Marshmallow-Treats/Detail.aspx
Just skip the 3rd step in the recipe.
You can sort of see the finished product in the picture above.
I have a few other turkey projects that I did with Gwen before we left on vacation. When I get home I will post the directions for them too.

Fun! T.J. did a bat like this with his class for Halloween! They used graham crackers for the wings and candy corn for the eyes! (But they did popcorn instead of rice crispys) Thanks for sharing! I might get my post up soon...if our internet starts working soon!
